before you can get them rly close if you want. Thats a good question and not only for monsters. Now about your point #3: "How close does one need to be to the exact location of monster fish and still catch him 10ft, 30ft, 50ft? At what range will the monster not bite?" now you even have the info of the weight of some monsters, so you know the gear that you need to use if you want to have a short or a long fight. only if the mission dont gives you the hint. You only need to try hook size, depth, and day/night time. then where the monster will be? closer to pikes right? I am currently working on the Pikeslayer quest which has me asking questions.Īs far as i remember, several monsters are in the same area where you get the baits for them. Originally posted by jubyrubys:It seems every lake has a monster fish quest. There are many ways that clues could by included in the game without using You Tube or something similar. Even have a lake park ranger in the game come buy and text "I hear the Pike Slasher stays at 40 inches and only hits at night" or something similar. Maybe put up posters along trails or trees. By the way, what is IRL?Ī hint to developers. What are the chances of you finding those monster locations (and at what time and depth) without You Tube or something similar? Slim to none is my guess.Īnd yes TheEvilFatGuy, I know where the Pike Slasher is and how to catch him but only thanks to You Tube. I am not bashing the game-in fact I think it is a very good game but it is too dependent on outside help in order to complete the quests. It should also say "Access to You Tube or similar is highly recommended to solve game quests". When the game starts, there is a quote saying "This game requires constant internet connection". How come the game doesn't supply the player with enough knowledge and tips to catch monsters and solve other game challenges? Instead, they relay on players using You Tube to find things out. Even your friends probably learned of the monster's location using You Tube. What if you didn't have online IRL or You Tube. I appreciate your comments but my point is this. I think you need a Titanium Leader, but I'm not positive if the Monster Fish need them or not. I you can fish a total of three rods, have one at 25, one at 50, and one at max. I know on The Fisherman I got it fishing with the bobber set to maximum depth. I think I got mine fishing around the 25 inch mark, but I may be thinking of something else. Just catch the fish you need again and it will get made, just like last time. If you run out of bait (unlikely, but it can happen) you just need to make a new batch. You have 5 baits, so you can set up as many rods as your stand can hold plus one. Cast at an angle so that bobber lands just in front of the part of the vegetation that sticks furthest out into the water. To your left is a clump of lily pads/water plants. Go to the left most side of the left most spot (the one without the boat ramp). Now, as to the Pike Slasher, what level are you? Do you have access to Rod Stands yet? If you do, go to Emerald Lake. Heck, I sometimes play videos of people playing Fishing Planet just to find new ways to enjoy the game that I haven't thought of yet. That's something else i keep on in the background at home.Īs such, I see no problem with people using videos to help their game along. I also have the Pluto Channel which has a channel on it that features River Monsters binge blocks lasting most of a day each. On my days off, if the weather is bad, or I just have a lot of work around the house, I will play those for hours on end, all day. I have a ROKU player with the Youtube channel and various Fishing channels are among my favorites. I use online info to plan my IRL fishing trips all the time. Otherwise, all player will rely on YouTube to solve them. The game needs to supply more clues to help players solve quests. A player could spend years trying to catch a monster if he didn't have more answers to the questions listed above. I'd like to know how many players get to level 60 without using You Tube or something similar. You Tube should be made part of the game since it helps players complete quests. I usually seek the answers by talking with other fisherman (a good choice and they probably figured it out through YouTube) or using a cheat code (if there are any) or using You Tube which I think is unacceptable. How close does one need to be to the exact location of monster fish and still catch him 10ft, 30ft, 50ft? At what range will the monster not bite?įew if any of these questions are answered in the game. What time and depth does one fish at or doesn't it matter?ģ. How do you know what part of the lake to fish?Ģ. I am currently working on the Pikeslayer quest which has me asking questions.ġ. It seems every lake has a monster fish quest.
